Hi, I'm Tom
Social worker and founder of Missing Piece Therapy.
My story
I have been a social worker for most of the last 23 years, specialising in NDIS and Disability since 2009
Why Missing Piece?
People often have plenty of services around them, each doing its own part, while no one looks at how it all fits together. Things fall through the gaps, and the person in the middle ends up doing the coordinating.
Missing Piece Therapy is my answer to that: social work that steps back to see the whole situation, talks to the people involved and does the joining-up work that so often gets missed.

What guides my work
Whole-picture
I look at everything affecting you, not just what fits one funding type or one professional field.
Collaborative
I'll talk to your other supports and coordinate things, so you don't have to carry it all yourself.
Not put off by complexity
Complicated situations are where social work is most useful. If past attempts haven't worked, I'll look for a fresh way in.
Person-centred
You are the expert in your own life. I follow your goals, your pace and your priorities.
Strengths-based
I build on what is already working for you, not just on what is hard.
Trauma-informed & inclusive
Safety, trust and choice come first. All backgrounds, identities, cultures and ways of thinking are welcome.
